why is growth modeling important?
How do we know students, especially gifted ones, are learning? -Many gifted students are able to do well on standardized tests and other assessments without being challenged. This does not show or prove that students are learning in their classrooms. Growth models help to concretely show how much students are learning.
This is very important in holding teachers and schools accountable for all of their students, especially ones generally who do well on tests.
